Summer
Decked out in my professional mask, I met up with Lisa and Dan for a summer engagement shoot at Elizabeth Park back in 2020.
It was a bit more of a hassle than normal - we had to park outside and walk in - but it was also the emptiest I’ve seen the park during peak rose season. Lucky for us!
It was a great preview of their beautiful wedding day!
Back in June, I went out to Waterbury for another great Mattatuck Museum event, this time at the beautiful campus of a local school. (The museum is currently undergoing a renovation project that is going to be amazing!)
Called the “Summer Fling”, it was English garden party-themed, with charity games, a silent auction, and an amazing dinner.
It was a beautiful night, with perfect weather, lots of good times, and a lot of money was raised for a great cause.
I can’t wait to see the museum when it reopens!
Danielle and Corrie's wedding started with prep photos at a local salon for Corrie and at the bridal suite at The Barn at Wight Farm for Danielle.
Then we did a quick first look; I love it when someone cries!
The ceremony was held in a stunning secondary room, and was officiated by one of their friends, which is a touch I always enjoy.
The reception was a fun, casual brunch affair, with good food and great music.
It was a ton of fun, and when it was time to leave, their guests saw them off with a Bubble Exit.

I first met Paulina and Christhian at a wedding, and then I did their engagement photos for them a while later. So I was very excited when Paulina asked me to take photos of their expanding family!
We met on a muggy summer afternoon at perennial portrait hotspot Wickham Park, and looped through the rose garden, Japanese garden, and Italian shrine. It was perfect timing - the park looked great with lots of flowers.
I'm so excited for them and their little one due any day now! I hope this becomes a trend - I'd love to see more couples come back for a maternity session!

Kristen and James met me at a beach near their home in Branford on a beautiful summer evening for engagement photos.
Somehow we had the beach practically all to ourselves, so we got to play around with lots of fun poses without an audience.
We had so much fun. I'm sure their wedding will be a blast!
In what is becoming a yearly tradition I met Karen, Bob, and their son Henry at Hammonasset Beach for some family photos.
It was great seeing them again, and it's amazing how much Henry has grown in just a year.
The only trouble was an unexpectedly busy beach (I know, on a beautiful Saturday? Crazy!), but we had no trouble finding lots of private spots, and spotted some exciting critters running around as well.
